Lotus does not have user accounts, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not send your decks, cards, or usage activity to our servers. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data with any third party.
The decks and flashcards you create in Lotus are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, this content is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure, under your control — Lotus's developer has no access to it.
If you also use Mimosa on the same device, Lotus can turn highlights you've made there into flashcards. This works entirely on-device, through a small shared file Mimosa and Lotus both have access to locally — nothing is sent over the network or to any server to make this work.
Lotus can send local review reminders when you turn notifications on. These are scheduled entirely on your device based on your own cards' review dates — no push notification service or third-party server is involved.
Lotus itself has no in-app purchases. Its one paid feature — the Mimosa bridge above — unlocks automatically if you already own Mimosa Pro, a subscription or purchase handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Lotus never sees or stores your payment details.
Lotus may request notification permission (for review reminders) and file access (to import or export a shared deck file). These permissions are used solely for the feature that requests them.
Lotus does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no data is collected from any user, this applies equally to users of all ages.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
